We have a long and proud record of working in the public sector. Our customers range from central government departments to local authorities, housing associations, educational institutions, parish councils and NHS bodies. Supporting their operations by managing and reducing risk is at the heart of what we do. Foremost in our minds is that litigation in the public sector involves public money and public services. So we always focus on causing the minimum loss of officer time and keeping costs under tight control. Many of the cases we handle have the potential for political ramifications and generating media interest. We do not seek press attention and are adept at avoiding unwanted publicity for our customers.
Our work covers routine contentious and non-contentious matters as well as highly sensitive incidents. These include allegations of historical and contemporary abuse, fatalities, misfeasance, discrimination, bullying, harassment, defamation, neglect or breach of duty of care in social service provision, Human Rights claims and Judicial Review. Whatever the circumstances, we are recognised for the discreet, conscientious and fair approach we adopt to finding solutions that withstand public scrutiny and protect institutional reputations.
