Trish Taylor

  • I joined BLM’s Liverpool office in 1998 as a newly qualified solicitor and was promoted to partner in 2004 following a move to the Manchester office late in 2003 to help lead the newly created claimant legal services team.
  • I was responsible for setting up new processes and procedures as well as the development of new bespoke workflows for the firm’s case management system and delivery of extensive client MI reporting requirements.
  • Having a keen interest in compliance and the SRA’s new approach under OFR I moved teams in 2014 and took on the role of assistant to BLM’s compliance officer for legal practice in a full time capacity including investigation of breaches and preparation of reports.
  • I support and advise the business on legal regulatory risk and compliance issues and obligations relating to the Solicitors Code of Conduct.
  • Working as part of BLM’s risk and compliance team I help co-ordinate the firm’s compliance agenda and central risk reporting framework for claims, complaints incidents and breaches.
  • I liaise with BLM’s learning and development and knowledge management teams to ensure delivery of a compliance training programme for the business and that the team’s technical guidance output is easily accessible and shared successfully across the firm.
