I specialise in contentious and non-contentious works for professionals, developers, contractors and their insurers both nationally and internationally as legal advisor and advocate.
I deal both with contract drafting and associated issues, as well as representing parties in arbitration, litigation and latterly in adjudication.
My non-contentious drafting experience includes reviewing and drafting professional appointments and attendant documentation including collateral warranties and novation agreements for consultant clienlts both British, French and American to do with projects in Europe the Middle East, West Africa and Asia.
I also draft construction contracts for developer and contractor clients.
I advise on copyright issues arising out of construction projects and act in breach of copyright actions for architects.
I advise designers on intellectual property rights.
I am a chartered arbitrator and a TeCSA and CIC and RIBA accredited adjudicator
I qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor.
I served on the JCT Drafting Committee as an ACE representative, and am a legal advisor on the ACE and RIBA legal panels.
I am co‑author of Construction & Adjudication with Peter Chapman.
