BLM partners Jim Sherwood, Michael Salau and John Guerin will join thousands of delegates from all over the world at this year’s International Bar Association Conference, which will take place in Washington DC on 18-23 September.
Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund will be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the conference. This will be followed by nearly 200 legal sessions, workshops and panels which will span the next five days, covering current events and contentious issues facing the global legal profession. This year’s conference will also include presentations from senior US government officials.
Jim, Michael and John will be attending various sessions during the conference, including ‘hot topics in international sales, franchising and product law’, ‘cyber risks’, ‘law firm referral networks: strength in numbers or wishful thinking’, and other events such as ‘new technologies, new services: what are your rights in the new digital world and how can they be enforced?’
The trio will also be speaking to delegates about the creation of our global network of like-minded insurance and risk law businesses. Further information on The Global Insurance Law Network and our international offering can be found here.
