Marine insurance market risks irrelevance in the face of COVID-19

BLM marine expert, Gemma Pearce talks to Insurance Day about how the market is adapting to the dramatic changes brought about during the Coronavirus pandemic and what risks it faces.

Speaking about the pressure on insurers in the current climate, Gemma said, "We have already seen numerous big ferry operators seeking financial assistance from the government due to a decline in passenger footfall, although their cargo/freight business continues to thrive due to the ongoing demand for consumer products."
