Legal update: The effect of the Insurance Act

BLM consultant David Hertzell has provided a legal update for Post Magazine which highlights the significant changes on the horizon when the Insurance Act comes into force.

"After waiting for more than 100 years, three significant reforms to insurance law have arrived at once: the Third Party (Rights against Insurers) Act 2010; the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representation) Act 2012; and the impending Insurance Act 2015. The Third Party Act is expected to be in force by autumn 2015 and the Insurance Act 2015 by autumn 2016. CIDRA has been in force since April 2012..."
