BLM solicitor Clifford Healy is a founding member of Lawyers Against Homelessness, an organisation made up of solicitors and barristers in Ireland. Each year they organise three seminars with 100% of the proceeds going to the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People in Dublin. So far, in excess of €70,000 has been raised over four seminars.
BLM sponsored the first anniversary seminar, which took place at the Capuchin Day Centre this week, attracting a range of speakers from the judiciary, government as well as a mix of solicitors and barristers, including BLM partner Gavin Campbell. The agenda included a look at the housing crisis in Ireland, which is the subject of an article in the Irish Times today.
