BLM's head of Motor, Nick Rogers has spoken to Lawyer Monthly magazine about his thoughts on the rapid progression with the development and implementation of autonomous vehicles on UK roads and what other impacts AI will have on the legal world.
In his interview, Nick said: "The fact that the innocent will be compensated and the compensating motor insurer given a right of recovery against the vehicle manufacturer is not just morally and legally right, it is also important that consumers, motor insurers and motor manufacturers alike know that the latter have really accountability for the success of the technology at all levels of accident, not just the widely reported ones of those where a claimant is very seriously injured.
He added, "Motor insurers will pursue recoveries where an individual might be deterred."
