On Thursday 10 November, BLM’s head of Lloyd's and London market sector, Jennette Newman will take part in a panel discussion at this year’s Xchanging London Market Conference.
Over 400 delegates will attend this year’s event at which Jennette will debate the major issues affecting the industry. Jennette and the panel will explore the issues facing the future of insurance from a millennial perspective and offer some practical strategies and tips.
Jennette will be joined on the panel by Matthew Newman from XL Catlin, Charlotte Myers from the Lloyd's Market Association, Sian Fisher from the CII, Phoebe Hugh from Brolly and Ed Ventham from Digital Risks.
The issues to be covered include the future of the London market from a young person’s perspective, such as attraction and retention, perception of the insurance industry, together with, changes and disruption in the industry due to technology. The conference will also look at how to bridge the gap and avoid alienating those who do not fall in to the ‘Millennial’ group.
As well, the Xchanging London Market Conference will cover solutions to these issues, which include, but are not limited to, changing the culture and perceptions of the profession and addressing technological changes.
The conference will provide delegates with the opportunity to explore these key challenges and provide insights into how they could be successfully overcome.
