How COVID-19 is changing construction

15 Jun 2020

BLM partner and head of Health and Safety in London, Peter James has spoken to UK Construction Online about how the COVID-19 crisis has affected the construction industry and how it may have changed working practises for the foreseeable future.

Speaking about the latest information from the Government, Peter said: "The latest advice, released on the 11th May, confirmed the sheer complexity of dealing with COVID-19 in the workplace and should act as a caution to businesses that a return to work must be carefully planned. The considerations across industries will vary, but it is interesting that in construction, though PPE is to be worn in accordance with usual practice, there is no legal requirement for face coverings."
