From A Levels to trainee legal executive

18 Jan 2016

BLM trainee legal executive Jonny Taylor has been asked to feature as the subject of a Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) video as part of its ‘Get Into Law’ campaign. The campaign was launched to encourage people to consider alternative routes into a legal career.

Jonny, who is based in Leeds, started working at BLM after leaving school and enrolled on the CILEx course in 2012, which was fully funded by BLM. He has recently finished his level 6 exams.

Telling his story, Jonny said: “I chose to enrol on the CILEx course because of the flexibility it offered in obtaining the qualification, together with the practical industry experience developed whilst atBLM. The CILEx course has taught me the law, whilst BLM has taught me to be a lawyer. I’ve now got my career path paved out in front of me, something I wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t have gone down this route‎."
