Duty of Candour

Following Sir Robert Francis’s report into the events at Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust, openness and transparency have been identified as fundamental principles of healthcare.  Dentists will now find themselves subject to both a statutory and professional duty of candour, as highlighted by BLM’s Judith Davison, Juliette Mellman-Jones and Jane Lang in a recent article for Riskwise magazine.
