The biggest change in health and safety regulation for a generation

With the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) already suffering pressure on its resources, Sally Hancock asks if it can support the creation of the new Building Safety Regulator.

On 20 January, housing sectretary Robert Jenrick announced the formation of a regulator for building safety, which will sit within the Health and Safety Executive - this is a new post created as part of the Building Safety Programme and is described as "the biggest change in building safety for a generation."
