Insurance risk and commercial law firm BLM has appointed new partner Khalid Mahmood to the team in Birmingham. He joins after ten years as a partner at Kennedys, where he was one of the founding members of the firm’s Birmingham office.
Khalid brings with him over 25 years’ experience advising on defendant employers’ liability, public liability and motor claims on behalf of major insurers and corporates. His specialisms include large loss, fatal accidents and complex claims including multi-party actions involving EL and PL claims in the construction, engineering and retail sectors. Khalid also has experience in dealing with prosecutions, inquests and Motor Insurers’ Bureau claims arising from road traffic collisions.

Khalid is a member of FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers), the Birmingham Law Society and the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.
He joins the firm following a string of recent high profile appointments, with Deirdre Burgess and Bilal Mirza recently joining from DWF, and Dileep Pisharody joining from Rosling King.
