BLM partners Jim Sherwood and Nick Pargeter are set to speak at the upcoming Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) masterclass titled “Product Liability Issues II: Emerging Risks” on Wednesday 2 December at 10am in the Old Library at Lloyd’s.
The masterclass is hosted by the Lloyd’s Market Association, who represent the interests of the Lloyds community, will focus on industry publications about emerging risks, recent case law and will provide an overview of emerging risks in product liability.
As well as this, the session will cover topics such as:
- The definition of an emerging risk, from insurers and regulatory bodies
- How to reduce the uncertainties that attach to an emerging risk
- Technology emerging risks including the internet of things, and healthcare technology, covering the technology involved, potential liability and insurance challenges
- Legal principles of causation and how they would apply to injury/disease claims arising from emerging risks.
The masterclass counts as one CII CPD hour and to register for the event, complete the online booking form.
