Adam Burrell, partner at insurance and risk law firm BLM, has been appointed as an expert panel member of leading mediation panel Cost Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR).
CADR brings together pioneers from the legal costs industry to facilitate an efficient and cost effective solution to resolving issues both in the UK and internationally.
Adam has specialised in costs litigation for the last 15 years, and was appointed a Solicitor-Advocate in 2011 having gained Higher Rights of Audience. His costs expertise stems from a variety of different types of civil litigation including personal injury, clinical negligence, commercial disputes and group litigation orders.
Adam Burrell, partner at BLM, said: “Over recent years, there has been a clear shift towards alternative dispute resolution and away from traditional litigation, for well-cited reasons including speed, costs and confidentiality.
David Caswell, partner at BLM and Head of the Costs Practice Group, commented that “Costs mediation is increasingly important to parties engaged in litigation and we are delighted at Adam’s appointment to the CADR panel. Those engaging in the mediation process will greatly benefit from Adam’s ability to resolve issues in an efficient and cost effective manner.”
