Today, insurance risk and commercial law firm BLM makes a new partner hire with the appointment of Matthew Poli, as head of corporate & commercial, London.
Matthew joins BLM’s fast-growing, commercial advisory practice, launched in October 2017, when the firm expanded its offering and capability by diversifying its portfolio.
He joins BLM’s commercial advisory and private wealth practice, from commercial law firm, iLaw, where he was previously head of corporate and brings with him 14 years of non-contentious corporate and commercial law experience.
Matthew is a trusted legal advisor to intermediaries, owners, investors, fundraisers and financiers operating throughout the entire company life-cycle. He advises on all aspects of corporate law, with an emphasis on business restructure, share acquisitions and disposals, corporate governance advisory and corporate finance. Also, an experienced commercial lawyer, Matthew has worked on large-scale commercial agreements, including the sale and licence of IP, online terms of trading, franchise and distribution agreements, plus contracts for service.
