Congratulations to a number of BLM lawyers who have enhanced their skills and offering to customers in the London Market.
Solicitor Tim Shaw successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Insurance’s Award in London Market accreditation, passing with 96%. Tim secured part I (LM1) of the award in December 2014. He will now go on to sit part II in March 2015.
The CII Award in London Market Insurance was designed in consultation with London Market practitioners and consists of two units. The first covers London Market insurance essentials, including the workings of the London insurance market, whilst the second addresses London Market insurance principles and practices, helping to develop a broader understanding of insurance process and practice across the London Market. Candidates who successfully pass both units will be granted the Award in London Market Insurance, which is relevant for those working in or with the London Market, both inside and outside of the UK.
Associate Louise Carroll and solicitors Florrie Namnyak, Emily Osborne and Jasmin Sethi have successfully completed the Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT). According to Lloyd’s, the LLMIT ‘develops and tests awareness and understanding of how business is traded in the London Insurance Market and the roles and responsibilities of those involved. It provides an essential grounding in the working practices and processes at Lloyd’s.’
Congratulations to Tim, Louise, Florrie, Emily and Jasmin.
