BLM environmental partner Michael Salau will be speaking at Airmic's 'Deconstructing an environmental claim' workshop on 4 May in Birmingham.
Speaking alongside Emma Bartolo, Environmental Risk Manager, UK & Ireland at Chubb, Michael will address the environmental claims landscape and the impact of regulatory and enforcement changes.
This seminar will provide delegates with a broad overview of various aspects of law and legislation as management of environmental risk is considered via the deconstruction of an environmental claim. The session will examine an environmental incident and consider insurance coverage. It will then review the incident following the development of a litigated dispute and the various claims that arise from a pollution/contamination incident. Finally, it will explain the most commonly used environmental regulatory sanctions and then also review the incident in the context of an environmental prosecution.
