Are you ready for the Insurance Act? BLM hosts series of sold out briefings with MGAA

11 Jan 2016

BLM is to host two market briefings in collaboration with the Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) on The Insurance Act 2015. The briefings, which have proven extremely popular and are now fully booked, will be held at 12.30pm and 4pm on Tuesday 12 January and are due to be attended by up to 140 MGAA members at the firm’s offices in Plantation Place, London.

Peter Staddon, MGAA managing director will open the briefings and BLM’s Terry Renouf and David Hertzell, who is the Law Commissioner who steered the legislation through Parliament, will provide the keynote speeches.

David and Terry will consider the changes that the Act is likely to bring for MGAs and whether their processes and systems will be fit for purpose. A panel discussion will also be held during each briefing which will consider the specific issues that arise from implementation of The Insurance Act 2015.

Peter, David and Terry will conduct the panel discussion alongside BLM’s Jennette Newman. Jennette is head of the firm’s London office and also head of the Lloyd’s and London Market sector at BLM.
