BLM partner and head of the Lloyd’s and London Market sector, Jennette Newman will join over 200 delegates this evening at the launch of Ambition First, a network dedicated to driving equality in the workplace. BLM trainee, Frances Gordon-Weeks has been involved with Ambition First since its inception in April; she is on the committee and responsible for the organisation’s Government and Policy initiatives.
Jennette will present to a diverse crowd made up of junior business talent, senior business leaders, members of Government and others, as she talks about her experience at BLM and the changing working environment in her 20 years in practice.
BLM is a proud sponsor of Ambition First, a network focussed on developing a more diverse and sustainable pipeline of emerging talent from the insurance, finance, legal and technology sectors, amongst others. This includes engaging with the government, a schools and university programme, business skills training, thought leadership, and mentoring and coaching.
Jude Kelly CBE of the WOW Festival will introduce this evening’s event. She will be followed by a lively and interactive showcase of the organisation’s initiatives, including speed mentoring, discussions about diversity and inclusion in business and a new focus on the talent pipeline, video interviews about role models, and more.
