A protocol with bite

18 Aug 2016

For personal injury claims worth up to £25,000 arising from accidents in Scotland after 28 November 2016, a new Compulsory Pre-Action Protocol will apply. That protocol is similar to the present Voluntary Pre-Action Protocol but with certain key differences, notably on costs and implications if breached.

Our team in Scotland has produced a guide to the new protocol to assist you with a summary of the changes and the various stages to be followed as part of a claim.  Please contact Natalie King if you would like a copy of the guide.
