BLM is pleased to be delivering learning sessions at the Airmic Conference 2019 in June. We will have a number of BLM experts in attendance over the three days, and we will be delivering both a workshop and a TED style talk.
Our TED style talk will be taking place on Monday 3 June at 1:00pm in the Learning Hub and will focus on ‘Brexit implications explained in 20 minutes’. You’ve probably heard it all by now – but we know that there will always be some twist or turn in life after transition. If you are interested to know more, come along and listen to our expert, Jonathan Askin, partner at BLM.
We will also be delivering a joint workshop session with Aviva and Mount Anvil on Tuesday 4 June at 12:00pm, on ‘Claims: From defensibility to attack.’ Our workshop will cover:
- The changing environment of claims: Due to a change in the way people are now employed (the Gig economy, agile working, subcontractors), employers should consider how this change will affect the claims environment. Expert speakers from Aviva and BLM will discuss this impact.
- Progression in risk management / risk assessment techniques: Simon Walker, Health & Safety Director from Mount Anvil, will showcase the progressive techniques and software used in his organisation. This will be an interactive session, with the audience being asked to identify risks presented in a live environment. Aviva will also discuss a number of case studies using similar techniques that Aviva clients have used to train their staff.
- A case in point: BLM and Aviva will discuss a number of case studies focusing on what other organisations have done to mitigate risk from large volume claims.
- Q&A: Panellists will take questions from the floor.
If you are attending Airmic, it would be great to see you at our Brexit talk or our ‘Claims: From defensibility to attack’ workshop. You can register for our workshop here.
