Rebecca Young, Alexandra Wood and Jonathan Askin of BLM's Commercial Advisory and Private Wealth business stream attended the 8th annual EWIF Awards 2018 hosted at The NatWest Building, Bishopsgate, London on 15 May 2018. Categories included New Woman Franchisor of the Year, Woman Franchisee of the Year 2018 and Inspirational Woman in Franchising 2018.
As regional chair for the North West, Rebecca and Alexandra also participated in the judging process. The awards ceremony was sponsored by NatWest, and celebrates the achievements of women within franchising in the past year. EWIF’s mission is to educate, inspire and empower women within franchising, and the awards is one way to support this mission.
The event included a keynote from Charlotte Pearce, founder and CEO of tech company Inkpact. At 26 years old, Charlotte is fast becoming a young female icon in business and a role model for women aspiring to become business leaders. Inkpact helps companies such as Mr & Mrs Smith and Moet Hennessy stand out with their customer communications by allowing them to send handwritten messages to their customers at the touch of a button. Bridging this gap between technology and human interaction cuts through the clutter of modern marketing and improves customer engagement by providing a more personal and effective form of communication than email.
On the evening before the awards ceremony, a black tie event was held to celebrate the finalists (pictured) at the De Vere Connaught Rooms London, with sponsorship from McDonalds.
